Crespo flies in for Milan talks
Hernan Crespo looks to be on his way out of Chelsea after just one season after the Argentine flew to Italy to discuss a one-year loan move to AC Milan.
Crespo moved to Stamford Bridge from Inter Milan last summer for £16.8m (€25.2m) but has not made the impact expected.
However, AC Milan are willing to offer him a return to Serie A as the Italian champions confirmed that vice-president Adriano Galliani and director Ariedo Braida had travelled to Linate Airport in Milan to meet the Chelsea striker.
“Adriano Galliani and Ariedo Braida have gone to Linate where the plane carrying Hernan Crespo from London landed around 10pm Italian time last night,” read a statement on the club’s official website, www.acmilan.it.
Galliani told reporters at Linate: “I am delighted Crespo will be coming to Milan.
“It is a decision that everyone at the club wanted, and it is a present to our fans.”
