Many Irish entertain at home rather than go out
15/07/2004 - 10:14:42A survey has found that many Irish people choose to entertain at home rather than go out.
Two thirds of respondents to the survey said they had entertained people in their home at least once in the previous six months.
Forty-three per cent of these people said they did so because it was cheaper, 29% said they preferred relaxing in their own home and 14% said they did so because of the workplace smoking ban.
One thousand people in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford were questioned as part of the survey.
