ISEQ down as Abbey releases results
15/07/2004 - 11:02:38The ISEQ was down 4.52 points at 10.30am today, on a quiet morning for the index.
Construction company Abbey released results for the year ending April 30, revealing a 28% increase in profits. It could be fears that the British housing market is about to collapse that sent its share price down 9c to €8.59.
As for the financials, AIB was up 2c, at €12.32, with Irish Life & Permanent also on the up, gaining 2c to €12.55. Anglo was down 1c at €12.80, while mid-morning saw Bank of Ireland down 4c at €10.51.
