Irish Broadband to increase bandwidths

15/07/2004 - 09:42:39
Irish Broadband, specialists in broadband wireless internet access, has announced that it is to dramatically increase the benefits to its small and medium business customers by providing increased bandwidth at existing prices.

The current status in the market is that the entry-level bandwidth of 512kbps with 128kbps upstream is no longer sufficient for many SME users. Irish Broadband is now raising the entry-level to 1Mbps downstream with 1Mbps upstream.

Being introduced with immediate effect, Irish Broadband’s new service offering will be over 200% faster than any of its competitors. The tangible benefit of Irish Broadband’s offering is that there will be no limit to either internet use or download capability.

“In a market that is cluttered with many messages, varying price offerings, promises and user incentives, commercial users of broadband must be finding it difficult to reach a decision on which way to proceed,” said Paul Doody, managing director of Irish Broadband.

“Our aim is to provide our customers and commercial broadband users with a simple message: Irish Broadband provides the quickest and most efficient wireless broadband service in the market,” he added.

Irish Broadband provides fixed wireless access in Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford, Drogheda and Dundalk.
