Cowen and Murphy to discuss impasse in peace process
07/07/2004 - 07:44:34Foreign Affairs Minister Brian Cowen is due to meet Northern Secretary Paul Murphy in Dublin today to discuss the ongoing impasse in the peace process.
The meeting is part of efforts by the Irish and British governments to start fresh talks on how to restore the Northern Assembly, which has been suspended for more than 18 months.
Yesterday, Mr Cowen met Sinn Féin’s Martin McGuinness in Dublin and the party's president Gerry Adams is also due to meet the Taoiseach at Government buildings later today.
