Weinstein/Eisner row escalates
07/07/2004 - 10:13:38Miramax studio chief Harvey Weinstein, the hard-headed genius who has backed some of Hollywood’s biggest box office hits in recent years, looks like he is about to walk out on the company he founded because of a row with Disney boss Michael Eisner.
Disney is Miramax’s parent company and growing tension between two of the most powerful men in show business has finally come to a head.
Weinstein could be planning to buy the MGM studio with Pixar Animation Studios chief Steve Jobs for an estimated €3.7bn. Jobs and Weinstein have one big factor in common. They have both fallen out big time with Eisner.
