Beckhams head away to escape soccer misery
Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is whisking her soccer superstar husband David away for a romantic break - to help him recover from the Euro 2004 championships.
Victoria, 30, is taking England captain David on a secret trip to mark the couple's fifth anniversary on Sunday - and to help him get over his missed penalty shot during England's quarter-final match against Portugal, which saw them get knocked out of the tournament.
A source says, "The ideal anniversary present would have been Beckham lifting
the cup. Of course that's not possible.
"David has understandably been down in the dumps since England were knocked out. Victoria is hoping that this holiday will lift his spirits."
The couple's children Brooklyn, five, and 21-month-old Romeo are accompanying their parents to the secret Europe location.
