One change for Holland
Holland coach Dick Advocaat will be forced to make at least one alteration to his starting line-up for tomorrow’s Euro 2004 semi-final against Portugal.
Veteran defender Frank de Boer has been ruled out for the clash in Lisbon after medical tests confirmed that he sustained an ankle ligament injury during his side’s quarter-final triumph against Sweden.
Wilfred Bouma is set to partner Jaap Stam in central defence as he returns to the starting line-up having fully recovered from an Achilles injury.
Defenders Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Stam failed to finish Monday’s training session with minor problems, but their conditions are no cause for concern for Advocaat who will have both players available.
Holland team (probable): Van der Sar, Reiziger, Van Bronckhorst, Stam, Bouma, Cocu, Davids, Seedorf, Robben, Van der Meyde, Van Nistelrooy.
