British soldier dies in Basra

A spokesman said they were awaiting details about the incident. His remarks came after a report that a British soldier has been killed in Basra.
The spokesman said: “There has been an incident in Basra this morning which we believe has caused some casualties. I have no confirmation of a death yet.”
