Teaching acadamy for fans at K Club
O2 Ireland will be helping to improve the golf games of fans at the K Club during this week's Smurfit European Open golf championship by providing professional tuition at its Teaching Academy.
The O2 Teaching Academy will be located to the front of the new course clubhouse, beside the practice range, and will be manned by 14 Irish PGA professionals from 10 am to 6pm, Thursday to Sunday, giving expert instruction to those who attend.
Ireland's top golfer, Padraig Harrington, will also be making a special appearance during the tournament to lend his expertise to the PGA teaching staff and fans.
Adult golf fans can enrol in the O2 Teaching Academy by making a €5 registration donation at the O2 marquee in the Tented Village, with under 16's free.
The proceeds from the academy will go to KARE, a Kildare charity for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
It is anticipated that upwards of 1,000 individual golf lessons will be given on the Teaching Academy during the tournament.
