Student grant increases 'not enough'
28/06/2004 - 19:35:43There has been mixed reaction to news of increases in the student grant scheme.
The ordinary grant has been increased by around 2%.
But the Irish Vocational Education Association has said the increase is well below the 15% top-up announced by Minister Noel Dempsey last year.
The Union of Students in Ireland claims the increase for the next academic year is merely a cosmetic alteration.
