Alanis considers eloping with email lover

Canadian singer Alanis Morissette is so determined to keep her upcoming wedding to actor Ryan Reynolds low-key, she's considering eloping.

The 30-year-old singer and her love started dating by email two years ago and their romance was elevated to a new level when Reynolds proposed this month.

While they have yet to set a date for their nuptials, Morissette admits there won't be any of the usual celebrity fanfare at her wedding.

She says, "It will be pretty intimate. I'd like to have my close friends and family there. I know that we're spontaneous enough to elope - it's a consideration."
