€600,000 allocated to tourism projects

More than €600,000 has been allocated to two projects under Failte Ireland's Tourism Product Development Scheme.

Day's Hotel Health Centre, Inishbofin, Co Galway will receive a maximum of €553,950 for the development of a health centre at the hotel while Westport Woods Health Spa, Westport, Co Mayo will receive a maximum of €66,800 for the provision of a health spa suite.

Tourism Minister, John O'Donoghue said today: "I am sure the projects being supported will be a great asset to the further development of health tourism in the Border, Midland and Western Region."
