Czechs set to rest top stars
22/06/2004 - 13:46:28Czech Republic coach Karel Bruckner is set to rest some of his biggest names for tomorrow night’s Group D clash with Germany in Lisbon.
Captain Pavel Nedved is one of those likely to be left out with the Czechs already assured of qualification and top spot in the group, while striker Jan Koller and winger Karel Poborsky could also be rested.
Tomas Galasek too could find himself on the sidelines having picked up his side’s only booking in the dramatic 3-2 win over Holland on Saturday with Bruckner unlikely to run the risk of the midfielder picking up a ban when he does not need to.
