Minister launches LUAS free travel scheme

22/06/2004 - 18:37:15
Pensioners and other free travelpass holders will be allowed travel for free on Dublin's new LUAS light rail system, which is due to begin operating next week.

“Unlike Dublin City and many of our other cities we do have a rural transport difficulty and therefore facilitating the private operators is very important. So we have really increased the amount of investment in transport and supporting transport initiatives," she said.
