Westmeath 0-14 Dublin 0-12

Paidí Ó Sé's has worked his magic with Westmeath as they have beat Dublin in the Leinster Championship today.

They blew the Leinster football championship title race wide open with this sensational quarter-
final victory at Croke Park.

In the shock of the campaign to date, Paidi O Se's Westmeath came back to HQ after beating Offaly and did the same to favourites Dublin.

But they had to overcome all the odds and a partisan Dublin crowd to achieve victory, with injury time points from Joe Fallon and Paul Conway sealing a memorable win.

An unfamiliar Dublin team - with Senan Connell at corner-forward and Collie Moran at centre-back -strode into a 0-6 to 0-2 lead by the quarter-hour mark, Alan Brogan and Jason Sherlock grabbing the early scores.

By the 29th minute they held a double scores advantage at 0-8 to 0-4 and tacked on another point from Connell to lead 0-9 to 0-6 at the break.

But Westmeath owned the second-half and outscored Dublin 0-8 to 0-3.

Des Dolan got them off the mark and they were level at 0-10 apiece and 0-12 apiece before two injury time points from sub Joe Fallon and centre-forward Paul Conway sealed victory.
