Man critical after Tallaght stabbing

A 27-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed in the stomach in Dublin overnight.

The assault happened at Killinarder Heights, in the Jobestown area of Tallaght, at 2am.

The victim, who is believed to be from the area, was taken to Tallaght hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

Gardaí are not following a definite line of inquiry and are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
