Meath star Geraghty hoping for county return

Meath's former All-Ireland winning captain Graham Geraghty could yet play a part against Laois in their upcoming Leinster semi-final tie.

The 1999 hero is currently under a 48-week ban, but put forward his case to a Special Investigations Committee on Monday night and may have the sentence reduced.

A recommendation from the committee is due before the next county board meeting on June 14, almost a week before the Laois game so boss Sean Boylan could have his man back on board earlier than expected.
