Historic Kilkenny boarding school to close
02/06/2004 - 12:21:16A boarding school that has been operating in Kilkenny since 1782 is to stop taking boarders this Friday due to a lack of students.
St Kieran’s College said the number of applicants had dropped significantly in the past decade, despite a sustained advertising campaign to attract students.
Trustees said the college’s day school would remain open.
