Dáil protest over planned sale of harbours
02/06/2004 - 13:41:03A group of people opposed to the privatisation of two Dublin harbours have mounted a protest outside the Dáil to highlight their concerns.
The Dublin Port Company is planning to sell the harbours in Skerries and Balbriggan, a move that is opposed by local residents, politicians and fishermen.
They want the local authority to take over the harbours, but Fingal County Council has refused to do so because of the high cost involved.
