Israeli helicopter fires missile at Gaza crowd
13/05/2004 - 09:03:30An Israeli helicopter fired a missile at a crowd of people in a Palestinian refugee camp in the Gaza Strip today, killing one person and wounding 12 others, Palestinian doctors said.
It was the second missile strike on the Rafah camp in several hours. The earlier attack killed seven people.
Israel was operating in the area, near the Gaza border with Egypt, following an attack on an Israeli armoured vehicle yesterday that killed five soldiers.
Hospital officials said later that "a number" of missiles had been fired and three people had died. Among the dead were two brothers and a father and his son.
