Guinness extends sponsorship of Hurling Championship
13/05/2004 - 13:34:09Guinness has extended its sponsorship of the All-Ireland hurling championship by two years.
The drinks company’s second five-year sponsorship deal with the GAA was due to expire at the end of this year.
However, Guinness said today that it had extended the deal until the end of 2006.
The link between the GAA and Guinness had been criticised in recent years due to the growing problems of binge-drinking and underage drinking in Ireland.
