ESB workers vote in favour of strike
04/05/2004 - 14:06:38Workers at ESB have voted in favour of industrial action in pursuit of a 20% stake in the company and an 18.5% pay rise.
However, the unions representing the workers are expected to defer a decision on whether or not to engage in any strike action for at least two weeks.
The unions are angry at the lack of progress being made in talks about the workers’ demand for the 20% stake and the 18.5% pay increase on top of any national wage deal.
