Pitt ponders career switch
With his wife’s day job ending this week, is Brad Pitt thinking of quitting showbiz to build houses?
Millions of women will ogle Brad’s pecs in the upcoming Troy epic, in which he appears to have forsworn his habit of dressing down in his screen roles in favour of the bronzed god look.
But he has been telling friends for years that his great love (presumably after Jennifer Aniston) is architecture and when he was asked bluntly in an interview for June’s Vanity Fair whether he was considering switching careers, Pitt said: “I may still. I just want to make things.”
The actor has had plenty of practice at the string of homes he owns with Aniston, which include a Beverly Hills mansion, a mini-compound in the Hollywood Hills and an ocean estate near Santa Barbara, 200 miles up the coast from Los Angeles.
Among the more unusual features at his beach house are the railway storage skips he has turned on their sides and transformed into luxurious living rooms overlooking the sea.
