TEEU slams latest Govt moves on Aer Rianta break-up

The Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union has criticised the Government’s demand that trade unions respond within two weeks to the business plan for the break-up of Aer Rianta.

Speaking to the Galway Trades Council last night, TEEU general secretary Owen Wills said it was “totally unreasonable” to expect the unions to make an informed response within such a short timeframe.

“This is just another example of the arrogance which appears to have taken over in Government circles,” he said.

The TEEU and other unions are vehemently opposed to the Government’s plan to divide Aer Rianta into three competing companies operating Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports.
