Sainsbury's complete sale of US business
30/04/2004 - 16:13:42British food retailer Sainsbury’s has completed the sale of its US business Shaw’s Supermarkets to Albertson’s for $2.5m (€2.08m).
The deal went through following clearance from anti-trust authorities across the Atlantic.
Sainsbury's also has interests in financial services and property. The Group employed 172,900 people worldwide.
