Larkin quit shock for All-Ireland champs Kilkenny

14/04/2004 - 17:06:46
Kilkenny defender Philly Larkin is rumoured to have quit the Cats' camp in defiance of his non-selection by boss Brian Cody.

The corner-back with the rich hurling heritage has become a bit part player in recent times and didn't play at all against Offaly on Sunday.

It is understood that the 31-year old didn't attend county training last night and he could be set to join Charlie Carter and Brian McEvoy in inter-county exile.
