Injury and suspension hit Bohs suffered a crushing blow as resurgent Drogheda made it three wins on the spin.
Barry Molloy got the all important goal three minutes from time when David Freeman got to the end line to pull the ball back for the midfielder to drive past Matt Gregg.
Robbie Doyle had missed Bohs' best chance, but in truth Drogheda deserved their win as Alan Reilly and Andy Myler wasted good openings.
