Glen Fitzpatrick was inspired as Shels made it three wins on the spin to keep Drogheda rooted to the foot of the table.
Declan O’Brien had a goal disallowed while Alan Reilly was inches over as Drogheda gave as good as they got in the first half.
Gerard Rowe finally broke the deadlock when beating Gary Rogers at the other end from Fitzpatrick's pass on 55 minutes.
Jason Byrne notched his third goal of the campaign ten minutes later before Fitzpatrick capped his display with a goal ten minutes from time.
