Thai PM 'in bid for stake in Liverpool'

Thailand's Prime Minister is preparing a bid to buy a 25% stake in Liverpool, the Daily Express claims.

Thaksin Shinawatra and Thai beverage and property tycoon Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi are planning the bid and reports in Thailand claim a deal could be completed by the end of the month.

But an Anfield source told the Express there was a lot of work to be done on the deal.
