Arts Council Director to resign
12/03/2004 - 18:08:43Patricia Quinn, the Director of the Arts Council, is to resign.
Ms Quinn’s announcement follows yesterday’s statement by the Council that it will set aside it's five-year strategy, the Arts plan.
She held the position for eight years during which time funding for the arts increased by 125%.
In her letter of resignation, Ms Quinn stated she had no other choice in circumstances where the Council overturned Government Policy.
