United are missing Beckham - Ruud
24/02/2004 - 06:57:32Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has admitted his team are missing David Beckham.
United are seven points behind Arsenal in the race for this season’s Barclaycard Premiership title and the Dutchman believes Beckham’s crossing and all-round play has been sorely missed since he joined Real Madrid in the summer.
“Becks is missed here at United, as a player as well as a person,” van Nistelrooy said.
“And from what I’ve seen of him in Spain, he’s doing really well, which is a credit to him.
“With the language barrier, it’s not easy for a player to make a move like that. But Becks has done really well and has put in some great performances for Real.”
