Kelly considers buffer to curb Dublin transfers

GAA president Sean Kelly has made it clear that he wants to impose a 'buffer zone' for players thinking of transferring to Dublin clubs.

A string of inter-county players play their club football in Dublin with allegations rife of payments being made to poach players.

Kelly said: "One way to cool down that market would be to introduce a rule that a player who wants to leave his home club and declare for a Dublin club would have to stand down for a year before his transfer could go through."
