US based software company TKO Software has announced it is to set up its international headquarters in Dublin.

The software developer also provides services for the interactive entertainment industry and hopes to employ 40 people in its new office at the Digitial Hub in the Liberties.

Initially the company will focus on porting, localising, testing and marketing wireless game titles developed by its parent company in the US for major European mobile networks and handsets.

As TKO Software Limited grows and expands its international customer base, Ireland will become a centre for the development and creation of games content.

Will Golby, general manager of TKO Software Limited said: "Dublin provides an ideal location for spearheading our overseas expansion. In a matter of weeks we have been able to agree terms with several major partners in Europe.

"Ireland has decades of experience in helping US technology companies establish successful European operations and the result is that it boasts a considerable network of knowledge and expertise as well as a deep pool of talent."
