Bodies of bus crash victims to be released to families today
24/02/2004 - 08:37:51The bodies of the five people killed in Saturday afternoon’s bus accident in Dublin city centre are due to be released to their families today.
The two men and three women died when an unoccupied bus mounted the pavement on Wellington Quay and ploughed into a group of people waiting to board another bus.
Dublin Bus established an independent inquiry into the accident yesterday and gardaí are also conducting a separate investigation.
They are hoping to study video footage from nearby businesses today as part of efforts to establish the cause of the disaster.
