Love makes brief court appearance
24/02/2004 - 15:00:14Courtney Love made a brief court appearance yesterday with a new lawyer.
The star turned up to the hearing at the Los Angeles Superior Court where she's facing a misdemeanour charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance relating to an incident last October.
Her new lawyer said he needed time to become familiar with the details of the case and asked for a short delay. Hence, a date of March 8 has been set for the trial. She says she fired her last lawyer because he wanted her to plead guilty to something she didn't do.
The singer denies the all the charges against her, but if found guilty could face up to a year in jail.
