Spurs chief eyes Trapattoni
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy believes Giovanni Trapattoni can restore the club’s former glories.
The Italy coach is the latest big name to be linked with the vacant position at White Hart Lane and although Levy has said he is interested in hearing Trapattoni’s views on how to improve things, there is no doubt the Spurs supremo would love to be able to bring in someone of his stature.
“Giovanni Trapattoni is one the greatest managers working today,” Levy told the Daily Mirror.
“We are interested on hearing his point of view. Tottenham have to get back to being a key team in English football and the exchange of views with a manager of such great experience and pedigree as Trapattoni is precious.
“At the base of everything is the squad. We have invested substantially in the development of Tottenham and we don’t intend to stop.
“The long-term goal of the project is to get Tottenham into Europe and we will pursue this until it happens."
