Schwarzer bidding to prove fitness

Gaizka Mendieta (virus), Jonathan Greening (back) and Michael Ricketts (knee) are ruled out.
Middlesbrough are unbeaten away from home for almost four months and will hope to hold onto that record against a side they play again in both the Carling Cup and FA Cup this month.
