Redmond ‘to appear before Mahon Tribunal this month’
09/01/2004 - 07:55:42George Redmond, the former council official convicted of corruption in November, is reportedly due to give evidence to the Mahon Tribunal in the coming weeks.
Reports this morning said Mr Redmond was one of 19 witnesses, including former TD Liam Lawlor, listed to give evidence when the Tribunal resumes hearings later this month.
The 79-year-old was jailed for a year in November for taking a £10,000 bribe from a garage owner in relation to the sale of a right-of-way in the Lucan area of Dublin in the late 1980s.
