Trawlers detained for alleged breach of rules
05/12/2003 - 17:23:13Two trawlers have been detained for an alleged breach of fishing regulations.
The naval service stopped the Endurance around 80 miles west of Loop Head in Co Clare.
The boat has been escorted to Castletownbere in West Cork.
The Dawn Ross, which is based in Castletownbere, was detained around 65 miles south west of Mizen Head.
That vessel has also been taken to her home port.
On arrival, the vessels are likely to undergo detailed inspection by officials of the Department of the Marine.
