Raid at Dublin retail park
05/12/2003 - 14:37:52Gardaí in Co Dublin have arrested an armed man after a raid at Liffey Valley Retail Park at 11.30am today.
Two men escaped with a sum of money, but were confronted by gardaí on routine patrol at the shopping centre.
The men pointed a shotgun at gardaí and hijacked a car.
The vehicle was later abandoned and they made off on foot.
Gardaí, assisted by the air support unit, continued their chase and arrested a 20-year-old man.
They also recovered the cash, a shotgun, a car and a bike.
The search continues for the second man.
