Joe Cole handed chance to deliver

Joe Cole was today handed his second England start as Sven-Goran Eriksson gave the Chelsea midfielder his chance to impress against Denmark at Old Trafford.

Cole was expected to fill the attacking-midfield role ahead of David Beckham, Nicky Butt and Frank Lampard.

Wayne Rooney was passed fit to partner Emile Heskey up front, while John Terry was alongside Matthew Upson in central defence.
