England favourites for World Cup

England are favourites to win the World Cup after their victory against France today.

Ladbrokes make Clive Woodward’s men 8/11 to win with Australia quoted at evens.

England were 4/1 when Ladbrokes first opened their World Cup book in May 2002 but had been backed into 6/4 by the eve of the tournament.

Wilkinson was 10/1 to score all of England’s points against France.
