Irish beef exports to Italy soar
11/11/2003 - 18:03:50Irish beef exports to Italy have soared by 95% in the first half of the year.
Sales are expected to reach 35,000 tonnes by 2003 - 15,000 more than last year. Research also shows that 83% of Italians consumers who tasted Irish beef said they would buy it again.
The news coincides with a new advertising campaign launched by Bord Bia to raise awareness and support existing sales in Italy.
