Bin charge protesters released from prison

Socialist Party TD Joe Higgins and Councillor Clare Daly have this morning been released from prison.

They were jailed for a month for defying a court injunction against obstructing bin lorries.

Following his release Joe Higgins paid tribute to the prison staff and said he had no complaints about his treatment in Mountjoy.
