Dana petition hopes to add God to EU constitution
15/10/2003 - 19:41:05Connaught/Ulster MEP Dana Rosemary Scallon has launched a campaign to gather one million signatures to change the EU constitution.
The petition, if successful, will be used to try and convince the EU to include a reference to God in the preamble of the proposed European Constitution.
The MEP says the role of God is very much part of our European heritage. Dana Scallon says a reference to God will offend nobody.
