Gardaí name strangling victim

Gardaí have named the man whose body was found in Co Louth yesterday, sparking a murder investigation.

He was Lee Conkey, aged 32, of St. Teresa's Gardens, Danore Avenue in Dublin.

The 32 year-old's partially clothed body was discovered yesterday afternoon in a laneway near a quarry in Togher, Co Louth.

Post-mortem results have confirmed that he was strangled to death. The National Bureau of Criminal Investigation are helping gardaí in Drogheda with the case.
