McGrath interested in Louth job

Former All-Ireland winning Down manager Pete McGrath has revealed his interest in the vacant Louth position following Paddy Carr's resignation last weekend.

McGrath led the Mourne Men to All-Ireland titles in 1991 and 1994 but has been out of the inter-county loop since stepping aside last year.

McGrath said: "If approached, I would certainly think about it and consider the different dimensions involved in coaching a county team again. I decided to take a year out, recharge the batteries and get back the appetite, which I have now done."
