Coyle inspires Derry comeback

Substitute Liam Coyle inspired Derry to a dramatic comeback, setting up the first goal before heading their equaliser on 82 minutes.

St Pat's appeared in control as they ran up a 2-0 lead within 48 minutes.

David Freeman scored his third goal in two games when scooping home Davy Byrne's miscued shot for the lead on 35 minutes.

Paul Donnelly then sent Tony Bird away to lob David Forde for the second three minutes after the interval.

Coyle's arrival sparked Derry into life and he helped set up their first goal on 65 minutes with Ciaran Martyn shooting home the rebound after Chris Adamson parried Kevin Deery's shot.

Coyle then headed a stunning equalsier eight minutes from time when heading home Eddie McCallion's free kick.
