Yesterday heads Oaks field
A total of 15 fillies will go to post for Friday’s Group One Vodafone Oaks at Epsom after only two withdrawals at today’s final declarations stage, leaving a list headed by Aidan O’Brien’s ante-post favourite and Entenmann’s Irish 1000 Guineas winner Yesterday.
The Ballydoyle handler also runs L’Ancresse in the Classic while Godolphin will run only Hi Dubai after withdrawing Mezzo Soprano.
Sir Michael Stoute will be double-handed with Waldmark and Halawanda while Marcus Tregoning will run Hammiya, who was supplemented at a cost of £20,000 (€27,890) last week.
James Toller’s unlucky Sagitta 1000 Guineas fifth Hanami has also been declared along with Andrew Balding’s Casual Look and the Musidora Stakes runner-up Geminiani from Barry Hills’ yard.
John Dunlop runs Lingfield Oaks Trial winner Santa Sophia, who was also supplemented for the race, while James Given sends Summitville to Epsom for the race.
The field is completed by Charles Cyzer’s Hearts ‘N Minds, John Gosden’s High Praise, the Gerard Butler-trained Inchberry and Mark Tompkins’ Thingmebob.
The other withdrawal from the race today was Jim Bolger’s Snippets.
